Kaashmora (English: Deadly Spirit) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language dark fantasy film written and directed by Gokul. It features KarthiNayantaraSri Divya and Manisha Yadav in the lead roles. Santhosh Narayanan composed the film's score and soundtrack.The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 28 October 2016.

Kaashmora was begun in the first week of May 2015. This is Karthi's big budgeted movie in his career and is made at a budget of Rs 60 crores. In this movie, Karthi performs three roles after dual role in  which is his earlier movie. Karthi appears as a King (Raj Nayak), a normal youth (Kaashmora) as well as a man with tonsured head in this movie. He will be romancing Nayanthara for the first time in his career. It is noteworthy that Nayanthara was announced as the heroine of Karthi in Paiyaa but walked out due to unknown reasons. Sri Divya is playing as second heroine. ‘Kaashmora’ is directed by Gokul, who gave the laugh riot anthology Idharkuthaney Aasaipattai Balakumara.G.MANI KERALA
Vivek will be playing Karthi’s dad in Kashmora. This was revealed by the comedian himself at the Palakaatu Madhavan audio launch held Apr 23 2015. In an interview, Director Gokul says that, Nayanthara plays a princess in this film, while Sri Divya plays an investigative journalist. With regard to Karthi’s work, he said that, he was stunned by his (Karthi) performance.Music of the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Art direction for this movie is done by Joseph handles the editing, whileOm Prakash is doing cinematography. Producers confirmed that Kaashmora will be released both in Tamil and Telugu languages for Diwali (October) 2016. This multi-genre film has a mix of action and comedy, promises to offer some some surprise elements in the screenplay as well.

It's been said that the "3D Face scan" technology, first of its kind for south Indian movie, has been used in this film. Karthi's face has been 3D scanned for an important sequence which will be running 15 minutes. Kaashmora comprises 80 minutes of VFX scenes. Director Gokul says that, 360-degree omnidirectional camera rig is used for shooting a particular sequence and this is the first time for an Indian movie to use this technology. This technology covers entire 360 degree, approximately entire sphere.]Omnidirectional cameras are used where large visual field coverage is needed, such as in panoramic photography. This camera is used in this movie to shoot a song and few scenes. Art direction team has erected 17 sets in and around Chennai to make simultaneous filming process and to save time.
